Anxiety is the most common mental health issue facing Americans today, with a staggering 40 million adults experiencing this often debilitating condition every year. I have personally and professionally studied this condition for most of my adult life, and focus on teaching my clients the strategies that have proven to be the most effective in the shortest period of time. I use Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness techniques, Relaxation techniques, Exposures and Somatic (body-based) practices to treat anxiety. Through therapy, I can help you become aware of the roots of your anxiety, so you can become mindfully aware of the triggers. Together we can develop strategies to better manage your anxiety.


Many of us find that our emotional reactions in the present are caused by feeling "stuck" in the past. Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is an evidence-based therapy that is used to heal from the symptoms and emotional distress caused by disturbing life experiences. EMDR is considered the 'Gold Standard' in the treatment Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and is also be used to treat a wide range of symptoms and issues including: anxiety, panic, phobias, depression, grief, and substance abuse. A study conducted by Kaiser Permanente found that 100% of the single-trauma victims and 77% of multiple trauma victims no longer were diagnosed with PTSD after only six 50-minute EMDR sessions. 

Chronic Pain

Most of us have been taught from the time we are born that physical pain is caused by a physical injury. It makes perfect sense. But a growing body of research in the field of medicine and neuroscience is showing that a large percentage of pain we attribute to injury and illness is actually being generated by our brain. I have extensive training with Alan Gordon, a leading expert and researcher in the field on chronic pain, and implement a treatment modality with clients both locally and globally (via video chat) with proven effectiveness for healing chronic pain.
