About Natalie Tijerina
---------------

Natalie is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) under the direct supervision of Valerie Sadon, LCSW, and specializes in treating adolescents and young adults. She utilizes her training in psychological trauma to treat trauma/trauma-related disorders, and also treats anxiety disorders, OCD and depression.

Natalie is trained in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), EMDR, psychodynamic/psychoanalytic principles, and mindfulness-based approaches. Applying evidence-based techniques, she collaborates with each client to help them develop a deeper understanding of themselves, determine strategies to foster improvement, and empower them to take steps towards healing and recovery.

Along with these methods, her cultural awareness and LGBTQ+ and BIPOC allyship allow Natalie to consider, treat, and appreciate each person’s uniqueness. Natalie creates a warm, safe, and supportive environment for clients to share their innermost challenges.

Natalie received her BA in Communication from the University of California, Santa Barbara and her MA in Clinical Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy with a specialization in Psychological Trauma from Antioch University, Los Angeles.
