Kim Hirsch is a licensed clinical social worker (CA License #28049) who was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA. She attended University California, Santa Barbara, earning Bachelors of the arts in English and Sociology. After college, she worked with developmentally disabled adults at Tierra Del Sol Foundation. At that time, she started to volunteer with Kaiser Permanente’s hospice and bereavement programs. Kim soon returned to school and received her Masters in Social Work from University of California Los Angeles and became a licensed clinical social worker. 

 

Kim has helped young children, teens, individuals and families navigate various obstacles such as anxiety, depression, parenting challenges, post-partum, women’s issues, lifecycle changes and issues of aging and end of life. She has been honored to continue her work in hospice and bereavement; as well as lead parenting, caregiver and bereavement support groups. She is passionate about empowering people to reach their own goals and live a life that has meaning, purpose and authenticity for themselves. Kim takes time to listen and helps people pause, so they can see how and where they envision their present life and future. 

 

Kim uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Strengths Perspective, Solution Focused Therapy, Person Centered therapy, Family Systems Therapy and is Culturally Sensitive. She cares about diversity, equality, inclusion and social justice and chooses to make these important aspects of her life. She prioritizes trust, loyalty and support while working with her clients. Kim is committed and feels grateful to be able to do this work.
